“New Orleans is one of the country’s hotspots for COVID-19, and overnight the city’s drag entertainment industry jobs vanished. I’m an empath to the energies of my surroundings, so my lockdown experience has been an emotional rollercoaster, but I’m so thankful to have a support system to count on. In the chaotic environment of this pandemic I find comfort by diving into my creativity to keep pushing myself as a drag artist. I look forward to a post pandemic reality of discovering a new “normal” with my local community in the future.” - Luna Rei
